Fees

Eqpme operates an equipment marketplace that ensures the best quality of service and selection of equipment. Once a reservation is completed the Owner receives their payment.

Service Charge Fee:

The Owner is separately charged a fee equal to 15% on completion of the rental.

Late & No Show Fees:

Renter: If an Owner does not follow the agreed, confirmed & arranged reservation on the date and time, try to contact each other via email, phone or texting. If the Owner does not respond nor try to resolve the issue contact info@eqpme.com letting us know about the failed reservation as soon as possible after your Rental start time. We will use the Eqpme Messaging Center to review the evidence. Based on the evidence provided and our conversations, we can, in certain circumstances, provide a full refund within 5 business days. Renters are not held responsible if the Owner does not show up so long as Eqpme is notified not later than two (2) hours after the scheduled Rental start time. To obtain a refund you will need to show proof that the Owner was contacted and failed to respond.

Owner: If a Renter does not follow the agreed, confirmed & arranged reservation on the date and time, try to contact each other via email, phone or texting. If they do not respond nor try to resolve the issue contact info@eqpme.com letting us know about the failed reservation as soon as possible after your Rental start time. We will use the Eqpme Messenging Center to review the evidence. Based on the evidence provided and our conversations, we can provide the Owner with the full Rental amount confirmed as between Owner and Renter notwithstanding the Renter’s failure to retrieve the equipment. Renters who do not show up have no recourse to dispute charges confirmed directly with the Landlord and will be liable to pay all rental amounts as if they had retrieved and utilized the equipment.

Cancellation:

Owner and Renter Agree to Cancel: If the Owner and Renter agree, after booking the reservation through Eqpme and paying all associated fees, rental etc. in full, to cancel the booking as between themselves more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the expected Rental start time, then Eqpme will refund all amounts paid by both parties in full and allow the Owner to re-list the equipment on the site immediately.

If the Owner and Renter attempt to cancel the booking, by mutual agreement, less than forty-eight (48) hours before the expected Rental start time then Eqpme will refund all amounts paid by both parties less the EQPME Service Charges paid and any taxes payable thereon.

Refunds are generally processed within five (5) business days of confirmation from Eqpme that a refund will be provided

Cleaning Fees:

A cleaning fee of $150.00CAD is permanently applied to each rental on the Eqpme platform. The Renter pays for this fee to the Owner, to ensure the Owner arrives at their location with a clean and safe piece of equipment. This fee also helps keep the standard of clean, safe and reliable equipment. All Owners are responsible to clean their equipment prior to a rental.

Fuel Fees:

As an owner you have the ability to choose how you want to set your fuel price There are two policies to choose from:

  • Renter pays - The renter can either refuel the equipment prior to the end of the rental or be subjected to pay the fuel rate declared by the Owner as stated in the listing for the specific piece of equipment. All rentals must be returned with a 100 percent fuel capacity.

  • Owner pays - If the Owner received their equipment without a fuel tank, they will refuel at their listed price.
